New EDIROL-09HR
March 30, 2008
The R-09HR is a professional, high-definition recorder that travels light and performs like a heavyweight. With crystal-clear 24/96 fidelity, the R-09HR is the new flagship of
EDIROL’s award-winning R-series recorders. Can’t wait to get my hands on one of these, I’m a huge fan.

Yo Koci,
Any word on who’s selling these in the states? Haven’t been able to find it anywhere…

I just bought a zoom H-2 to replace my minidisk recorder. Took it back to exchange for one of these babies. After my first job with it on Friday I must say I am really really impressed.
TOP STUFF.
where did u buy it?
I got mine from a place here in the south
(of England ;-)
cost me £250 ( aprox $500)
Can anyone recommend a microphone to go with Edirol R-09HR? Sennheiser ME66 is great, but I need something a tad bit cheaper and optimized for handheld.
Been looking at Sennheiser MD46 which looks good, but it’s dynamic, will it provide enough output? Initial specs are: tackle handling noise, unidirectional, solid and of course enough output.
Any suggestions? I’m gathering info for our newsteam, need to get this right.
Cheers
Lots of newsrooms use this mic with no complaints.
The MD 42 is a high-quality reporter’s microphone with omni-directional pick-up
pattern. It has been specially optimized for rough use in live reporting and
broadcasting environments. The MD 42 is a very ‘good-natured’ microphone
whose design avoids wind and handling noise problems. Two-ply sound inlet basket provides increased protection from wind and pop noise
Due to the long microphone body, reporters will find it easier to reach their
interview partners, especially in difficult interview situations. Shock-mount capsule ensures low sensitivity to handling noise.Sound optimized for interview situations
