Beautiful and moving images, for sure. The audio is quite strong, but I think the music takes away a little bit for me. I don’t know if its just because its external music in general, or if its because the photos have a different tone than the high-pitched piano notes provide. I’d be curious to see what others thought of the music. Still, a great slideshow.

Good. The music is sentimental, not “high pitched” on my system (simple external Yamahas). She’s struggling to nourish optimism but recognizes profound loss. “Sentimental” is ok, better than pathetic or tragic.
That’s really my question, I guess. Does it need “sentimental” music attached? The photos and audio are strongly sentimental on their own. Does an external piece of music really need to be in place to push that emotion home?
By the way, I’m not say the notes are high pitched as in ear piercing or anything, I mean the actual range of the note is high on the piano, which to me doesn’t work as well if the music had been in a lower range to match the more somber tone of the photos.
Again, I think it is a great slideshow. The photos combined with her interview speak volumes.
