What a great short. I love the way it’s flirting with the edge of journalism, by virture of being so beautifully produced. I’d be curious to know what other readers have to say about the perceived relationship between production values and journalistic value.

Long story short: I don’t think this piece started out as*’journalism* in the way a lot of people who visit this site think of journalism. But I do think it incorporates a considered aesthetic to the storytelling that the viewer and the story both benefit from.
