One School’s Struggles is an audio slideshow from Jahi Chikwendiu that examines the state Washington D.C.’s Calvin Coolidge High School. The photo editing is very tight and the audio editing is a little loose, which leaves the viewer looking at some of the photos for a long time. I would be interested to hear what others think of the editing, especially in the first slideshow. I am a fan of Chikwendiu’s photography, so I don’t mind the slow pacing, however others who are less photo-oriented might not feel the same. For other folks who find themselves inspired by Chikwendiu’s photos, you can also check out his work on the recent Remnants of War story.
Finally to keep things meta here’s our blog post about a multimedia piece about blogging. Tokyo Stories. is a collection of videos about the city and it’s people and culture. The current featured video is a nice video/flipbook look at blogging in Japan. All of the videos in the project are worth watching.
