The video plugin comes as a standard pull-down menu item in Soundslides Plus. I would highly encourage anyone considering the purchase of Soundslides, to go with Plus. There’s other really great features to the Plus version.
are you sure about this? i don’t have it on my pull-down in plus! hmm. i love a good mystery.
I originally purchased the video plugin for an older build of SS, which still exists on my computer. Then, after running a lot of beta releases, I purchased the SSPlus upgrade, which has the video export plugin. Now that I think about it, I’m probably wrong in assuming that it came built-in. It’s more likely that the plugin will remain valid for all current and forthcoming versions of SSPlus until it is a built-in feature.
Ah, but what about a plug-in to place video INTO a ss project?
Yummy? Yes? Yes?
Yes…
That would be nice, but I think SS is a great stand-alone program designed for a very specific purpose, and there are other programs out there for the production of “multimedia”, such as Final Cut Pro.
Call me crazy but I think that this is brilliant! Yes Soundslides is a great standalone app, but I would LOVE the ability to watch an audio slideshow on my iPod or PSP or iPhone, or even making videos so that I can subscribe to a feed in iTunes or Democracy and automatically download the latest ones. I see this as less about production and more about making the product available to many more users. Then again, I do get my news from my Wii.
