What!? A tutorial on Soundslides, ridiculous. Well, kinda, but it's my first tutorial and I want to start out easy, for my sake. Not to mention I still get asked basic questions about this program, so for all the newbies, I hope it helps. I was a newbie only one year ago and wished there were video tutorials because I can't learn from written ones. INSTRUCTIONS: Click on the Quicktime video mov icon below and it should start in a new window, or choose download option in small read letters. You can download the mp3 I talk about in the tutorial here. Watch for part 2 of this tutorial which will include the ever popular chaptered Soundslide stage, I will show you and provide the source .fla on how to create something like this.

Many Thanks for the great tutorial ! I cant wait to see the next one ! – its something that i’ve wanted to do for a while now !

Cheers,
Abhi.

I second Abhi here. I can’t wait to see the second part of the tutorial. I used Flash to build sites with multiple slideshows but I didn’t know that Soundslide offered that option too without extra Flash knowledge….

I’m really very new to Soundslides so this was a great thing to see! Even though it is an “easy” program, there are certainly things to learn, and I did from this video. I’m really looking forward to the next one! Thanks!!!

Quick tip for making a “dead track”—

I use Audacity for some of my sound work (because it is free) and in the Generate menu you can choose Silence. Just type in the length in seconds and export as AIFF or MP3 file.

Where did the tutorial go?

Cool tutorial. What I’m really trying to figure out is how to make videos like your tutorial.

I want to show what I’m doing on my computer monitor, connect it with audio explaining what I’m doing, and create tutorials for my stats students. How do I capture my monitor video? I see this everywhere but have yet to figure it out.

FWIW, I have found Eyespot Mixer to edit and combine videos, photos and audio online and Toufee to create and publish flash movies and presentations online… both for FREE, so that’s really cool.

Thanks in advance for your help!
